TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR VOLUNTEERING WITH SELANGOR YOUTH COMMUNITY (SAY)

By signing up as a volunteer with Selangor Youth Community (SAY), you agree to abide by the following Terms & Conditions:

1. General Obligations
1.1 Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Those under 18 require parental or guardian consent.
1.2 Volunteers must conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and responsible manner at all times.
1.3 Volunteers agree to perform assigned tasks to the best of their abilities and follow the instructions given by SAY representatives.
1.4 Volunteers are not employees of SAY and will not receive any wages, salary, or benefits for their services.

2. Commitment & Attendance
2.1 Volunteers must commit to their assigned tasks and inform SAY in advance if they are unable to attend or fulfill their duties.
2.2 Frequent absenteeism or failure to perform assigned tasks may result in dismissal from the volunteer program.
2.3 Volunteers must arrive on time for scheduled events and activities.

3. Code of Conduct
3.1 Volunteers must respect all individuals, including fellow volunteers, SAY staff, and event participants.
3.2 Discrimination, harassment, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of volunteer status.
3.3 Volunteers must not engage in any illegal activities or behavior that may harm the reputation of SAY.

4. Confidentiality & Data Protection
4.1 Volunteers may have access to sensitive or confidential information. They must not disclose, share, or misuse such information.
4.2 Volunteers must comply with SAY’s data protection policies and ensure that all personal data collected is handled responsibly.

5. Health & Safety
5.1 Volunteers must follow all safety guidelines provided by SAY and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
5.2 Volunteers must take necessary precautions to ensure their own safety and that of others during SAY activities.

6. Media & Publicity
6.1 SAY reserves the right to capture and use photos, videos, and other media of volunteers during events for promotional purposes.
6.2 Volunteers who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must inform SAY in writing prior to the event.

7. Liability & Indemnity
7.1 Volunteers participate at their own risk. SAY is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings.
7.2 Volunteers agree to indemnify and hold SAY harmless against any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from their participation.

8. Termination of Volunteer Agreement
8.1 SAY reserves the right to terminate a volunteer’s involvement at any time if they fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
8.2 Volunteers may also withdraw from their role by providing prior notice to SAY.
