In conjunction with the 60th year of independence of Malaysia, Infinity Logistics and Transport Sdn Bhd collaborated with the Selangor State Government to conduct an art exhibition, titled “Merdeka: Unity and Diversity”, being one of the many Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) projects that Infinity have organised. This particular exhibition showcases 60 pieces of artwork, done by 22 local artists, from various ethnicity and states in Malaysia. Furthermore, the core purpose of the exhibition was to portray the meaning of Merdeka through inspiring art pieces of 22 artists of contrastive race, gender, age and background.
This exhibition initially kick started at the National Art Gallery in Kuala Lumpur. Later on, the exhibition was held at the SACC Mall in Shah Alam on the 6th of September 2017, around 2.30 p.m. The exhibition was officially launched by Y.A.M Tengku Zatashah binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, accompanied by Y.B. Tuan Amirudin bin Shari, Fakrul Radzi bin Ab Ghani, the surveyor of the exhibition. Dato’ Chan Kong Yew and Dato’ Ethan Kwan were also present for the launching of the exhibition alongside with 22 featured artists and also, SAY Community as well.
The lauching of the exhibition took around an hour, from 2.30 p.m. right up to 3.30 p.m. Once the launching of the exhibition was done, Y.A.M Tengku Zatashah binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah alongside with other VIPs were introduced to the artists and their respective art pieces that were exhibited. There was a photography session too, where the VIPs were more than happy to pose for. The camera men were with their cameras, flashing away, taking picture of Y.A.M Tengku Zatashah binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and the others as they stood by each piece of art that were exhibited. To end the delightful event, all the participants and the VIPs were ushered to a restaurant for tea.
