Raja Muda Selangor Supports JCIPJ ‘Stand By Me’


6 August 2016, SHAH ALAM – The ‘Stand By Me’ Charity Orchestra Concert is organized by Junior Chamber International Petaling Jaya (JCIPJ). The purpose of the project is to raise funds for the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) CHILDHOOD CANCER TRUST FUND. Below are the details of the event:

Venue: Shah Alam Royal Theatre

The Stand By Me Project is one of JCI Petaling Jaya’s (JCIPJ) annual signature event. JCIPJ has been organizing this project since 2013 for the JCIPJ – UMMC Childhood Cancer Trust Fund. This year, JCIPJ will be organizing a Charity Orchestra Concert. The main purpose of the project is to raise funds for childhood cancer patients. Besides that, JCIPJ would like to empower and provide opportunities for youth to create positive changes and at the same time showcase their talents.
This meaningful orchestra concert will be performed by Kuen Cheng Wind Orchestra. They have been established since 11th March 1971 and have won numerous awards at both national and international level.

The objective of this event is to:
1. To provide a platform for the community to give back to families of childhood cancer.
2. To raise funds for underprivileged cancer patients to cover their treatment costs.
3. To create awareness on childhood cancer.

The event is in collaboration with University of Malaya, UM Medical Centre and Kuen Cheng High School. JCIPJ would like to express their gratitude to the Venue Partner, Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) and Strategic Partner, Selangor Youth Community (SAY) for their continuous support and assistance. JCIPJ would like to also thank our branding partner, The Bridge for their effort in designing and marketing.
